classical neck, electric LP neck, wooden class. bridges, classical guitar mold
History 1983 - 1985
These pictures were taken at my parental house up in the attic (Koog aan de Zaan)
My first classical neck made from Honduras Mahogany
Gluing extra pieces of mahogany to a thickness
of what will become the heel-block
The one on the left is a neck for a Les Paul model guitar
made of Honduras Mahogany
On the headstock of the classical neck I glued a heavy piece of Rio-Rosewood.
I can still remember the distinct sweet smell of this wood when sanding it.
The fretboard of the neck on the left is rosewood.
Some classical bridges I made from Wenge and Ebony
A template for "bending" the sides and keeping them in this shape
for a classical model guitar. Just particle-board and spruce.

mini violin
History 1985
(Koog aan de Zaan)
This violin was commisioned by a person who had a very old doll. It once held a violin and a bow in its hands, but the violin was gone missing.
I even created the arch at the back.
I placed a Dutch dime (10 cents of the old Guilders)
next to the violin to see the actual size.
