Clarinet repair
And then my father showed up with his Buffet Crampon Bb clarinet from 1976
His thumb-rest was loose, so I fixed that with no problems whatsoever,
but I noticed two separate cracks in the bell.
Viewing it with my magnifying glass I saw they were pretty deep as well.
I had some scraps of ebony lying around and made some sand-paper-dust.
and put that into the cracks and with just a few drops of cyanoacrylate glue
I managed to fill them up completely. As the cracks were already more than
20 years old I did not need to clamp them or fix them with any other means.
So......Play it again..Dad!
